Another great book by Julia Donaldson has made its way through the bedtime list in our household. Monkey Puzzle follows the trend of Donaldson’s stories with the engaging rhyme that children love and learn soon enough. Coupled with the colourful illustrations by Axel Scheffler this book is a winner. The story is a misunderstanding between a monkey who’s lost her mum and a butterfly who wants to help to find her, but the butterfly doesn’t know monkey mother and child look alike because none of her children are like her. This clever story recalls how caterpillars turn into cocoons and finally into beautiful butterflies.
