I love wooden toys, but when I pick one my first concern is to make sure it has been finished with non toxic natural oils and vegetable dyes. The wood must also come from sustainable forests in respect of the environment.

Wooden toys and games just look more special than the average plastic game from the high street and handcrafted toys in particular make unique lasting gifts.

The Math Kit by Treeblocks is a perfect example of craftsmanship and ticks all the boxes. The wood pieces are made with natural wood from recycled and sustainable forests as well as being completely non toxic. The game includes 65 pieces of natural wood of different shapes and sizes, a standing log ruler, three dice and a card deck of 96 cards to play games of various difficulty levels making it suitable for children from 3 years old through to 14.
