I love buying shoes and I am crazy about cute baby shoes and trendy kids’ trainers and boots. Too often shoes look good, but are not totally healthy for our kids’ feet. That is why ever since I have discovered the “shoe that breathes”, I only buy Geox trainers for my son, he can wear them for hours, run jump and do all those action things boys do and still have dry feet at the end. Geox shoes not only look good, they are made with an innovative rubber sole technology that lets the foot breathe inside the shoe avoiding sweaty feet and keeping them free of bacteria. Kids can wear them all day and still have fresh feet. The same technology is now available on leather soles too, which has given more flexibility to the design. The autumn/winter 09/10 collection has a good balance of casual and smart elements, which is evident in my favourite picks from the kids’ line including a very trendy pair of full length boots as well as plenty of other models of shoes and boots for boys and girls (see picture).

Geox also makes shoes for men and women with some great designs to choose from this winter’s collection, for more on women and men’s footwear check out this article on Strictly Italian.

  • Cross training shoes are shoes that are a hybrid of several different types of athletic footwear. The phrase “cross training” implies engaging in activities that draw from a variety of different sports. Originally, to cross train meant an athlete would train in a sport or activity that was very different from the one he or she primarily specialized in. A good example would be running. Almost every sport and every athlete runs as part of his or her training.
