While I was browsing the Internet I landed on a fantastic website that is all about playful learning. The website, which is in fact called Playful Learning, is a great resource for parents and teachers as it features an interesting approach to learning in so many creative ways inspiring kids with hands on projects and positive family interaction. Projects cover a wide topic range as basic as learning to read and write to more in depth maths exercises, science projects and crafts activities. All projects have been done first hand by site developer Mariah Bruehl and her two daughters. I was impressed with one project in particular. The Photography Alphabet Book, an alphabet book made of artistic photos taken by the girls and beautifully put together as a book. I was so inspired by it that I can hardly wait to start my very own photography alphabet book with my son. This type of work is not only a great exercise for ABC learning, but a fantastic stimulation of children’s creativity.
