This week for our Monday crafts we have more Easter cards on the menu. We used different techniques to make the basic cards in the photo. Our first card was the easiest.  We already mastered this technique for our Christmas cards so we knew it worked. We cut shapes out of old magazines and coloured them with metallic pens for a gold finish. Then we glued the images onto the white card. To move away from the Easter bunny we picked another seasonal favourite picturing an egg basket and two flying doves.

For the other two cards we tried to create simple images by making a stencil, but we run into some problems because we made the first stencil out of paper and it turned out to be too light, which caused the paint to smudge under the edges. So for the second stencil we used thick cardboard and it worked much better. We kept it really simple and returned to the Easter rabbit theme. The print came out sharp and we finished adding some red dots all over the rabbit and the “Happy Easter” wording with glitter glue at the bottom.easter-cards-step-2

    Hi Maria,

I always check your website for new ideas to use in order to entertain my 6 years old daughter. I find your instructions very clear and easy to execute, cheap to make and the results are always fantastic: thank you very much!
    Paola.
