With Earth Day coming up it is only natural to get the kids hands on with a green pastime, which is both educational and fun. Grow My First Pocket Garden is an easy way to gently introduce the children to growing their own plants. Seeds and soil are in the bag and remain in the bag. Simply cut the top open, add water and keep the bag in a warm place. This is the perfect solution for people without a garden who still wish to grow their own plants. The bag has a drawing of what the fully grown plant will look like. Each kit comes with a specific recipe related to the plant in the tag so once the vegetables have grown the kids can experiment in the kitchen.  As well as a fun experience for kids to grow their own greens, the kits may encourage children to eat more vegetables.  Select your favourite one and watch it grow. Choose from peppers, peas, carrots and strawberries. Packets are £5.50 each from Eco Outlet.
