Twas the Night Before Christmas, the classic poem by Clement Clarke Moore is available on iTunes thanks to an interactive iPhone app brought to us by Once Upon An App. You can listen to the poem in Story Only mode or you can choose the Interactive option, which is a lot more fun. The interactive version tells the story page by page with the images appearing in black and white before turning to colour after solving the puzzle. Each page has a hidden image to spot; as you drag the star over the hidden item the page turns to colour. The Night Before Christmas is a lovely poem that reminds us of the magic of this special night and this app in particular is a fantastic seasonal addition for your iPhone to entertain the little ones who will be entertained by the soothing words of the narrator, challenged by the image searches and rewarded by the flood of colour that will fill the pages as a result of their efforts.
