Standing on the Meridian at Greenwich
On the boat there was a lovely chap who gave us a little history background in such pleasant way that we were all entertained. We got on the river cruise at the London Eye Pier and we even got to see Tower Bridge open, something that doesn’t happen very often and it was a spectacular sight.
At Greenwich we walked through the park and up to a steep hill where the Royal Observatory is situated and we could see the Meridian from the gates. If you want to see it close and take a picture standing next to it you need to pay to get into the Observatory, it costs £8 for an adult with two children to get in.
Once you are through be prepared to stand on the long queue to take your picture. This is our photo on the Meridian.
