These are my latest chicken doorstoppers, this time I made them out of denim.  I have a lot of denim skirts and jeans that I don’t wear anymore…sadly some don’t fit me anymore, though I’d rather say they are outdated. Anyway they are perfect for making new things like my chicken doorstoppers. I like that the denim is not flat, which gives movement and character to the fabric. Especially one of the chickens has a pocket mark, where there used to be a pocket I had removed to attach to an apron I made as part of my homemade Christmas presents. I used a different fabric for the bottom to add colour while the crest and beak are made of felt. The buttons are perfect for the eyes.
