Learn Through Play: Fractions Cubes
Timetables and fractions can be difficult for kids to get their head around to, that’s why it is so important to introduce hands on ways to learn these basic math’s notions making it fun rather than daunting. Thankfully there is huge attention to learn through play techniques when it comes to math from a very young age and at different levels. Lately I have been impressed by the Times Table app; however there is a huge range of products away from technology that are just as good. The fractions tower blocks are great. Simple and efficient, the interlocking cubes are self explanatory. They start with a unit, and then two halves can be interlocked to make one, after that three exact pieces interlock to make the same initial unit and so on until you need 10 small pieces to make the same tower. It does not get any better than the hands on approach to learn basic skills such as this. The blocks are available from many retailers and you can order them online at the Great Little Trading Company.
