In preparation for Halloween we have come up with an idea to reuse an old beach bucket by turning it into a trick or treat container to collect all the sweets and gifts. To transform the tired bucket we used orange paint, magazine cuttings, a black marker, glue, scissors and black creased paper.

First we painted the bucket with two coats of orange paint and left it to dry. In the meanwhile we cut the shape of a bat and the letters that spell ‘boo’ with an exclamation mark, which we coloured with a black marker.

To decorate the handle we cut lots of strips of black creased paper with points to give the idea of bat wings and tied them one by one around the handle until it was fully covered.halloween-bucket-materials
