Shoebox ball game

Submitted by on June 21, 2011 – 11:06 pm6 Comments

Shoe boxes are fantastic to craft. With a little imagination you can make anything out of boxes and we have. Among the rest we made bookshelves, storage boxes of many shapes and sizes and a double-decker bus. Today we have something much simpler, but very effective that is sure to provide a lot of fun.  Our ball game in a shoebox consists of a sturdy box with two slanted compartments with holes.

1. Cut the two edges of the shoebox lid to make the compartments inside the box for the ball to run through. Make sure you place the side with the lip outwards to avoid the ball to fall out.

2. Cut a hole big enough for the ball to pass through on the top of the box and on each of the compartments.

3. Attach the compartments at a slide inside the shoebox with double sided tape.

It’s amazing how a simple toy can provide more fun than an expensive plastic one you buy in the shops, and what makes it even better is that not only you are reusing before recycling, but you can recycle it when your kids are done with it.
