Sleep over with dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum
Kids love sleepovers and they love dinosaurs so a sleepover with dinos at the museum sounds like the perfect treat for 8 to 11 year olds. The Natural History Museums organises monthly sleepovers for kids and the next one taking place on the 17th of December is packed with fun activities and it even has a festive additional bonus with a visit from Santa. The evening will include a torch-lit trail in the Dinosaurs Gallery, which in itself would be enough to fill your dino lover with excitement, but that’s only the beginning. The evening will progress with a live show about creatures that bite and sting by a Museum expert and a fossil fun craft for kids to create their very own plaster fossil to take home. At midnight is down time as kids will snuggle up in the Museum’s Central Hall in the shadow of the giant Diplodocus skeleton for one of the most exciting nights of the year. In the morning there will be a light breakfast and a live animal show with Animal Man Nick Spellman before the Museum opens its doors to the public.
Dino Snores is an event intended for children aged 8-11 years old, but adults will enjoy the experience as well. There must be a minimum of 5 children and 1 adult in your group; large groups must have an adult per every 5 children. For booking details visit the Natural History Museum page directly.
